Nope, you’re wrong. The Post states very clearly, and without qualification, that “Trump was injured”. So there is no implication in the article that promoted a Democratic Party line that Trump is “faking injury”. Besides, while there may be some lefty nuts claiming fakery (just as there are some right-wing nuts insisting the assassination attempt was a USSS or Deep State setup), it is not “the Democratic Party line”. |

The MSM tried to downplay the shooting initially, calling the gunshots "loud noises." I watched the shooting happen live, and it was obvious that he had been shot. Thankfully, Devine Intervention caused his head turn, saving his life. You can contribute the MSM "misreporting" to the fact that they weren't watching his rally or some other reason, but their initial reports stand for themselves. MSDNC's Joy Reid even went on to say the shooting was staged, it was a photo-op, and questioning what caused his injury. As far as a "party line," I agree with you. Most of the nation breathed a sigh of relief that Trump survived (several whacko leftist excluded), and Democrats have more important issues over Biden than thinking they'll gain anything from keeping Trump's assassination attempt story alive. I've got more concerns as to how the soy boy was allowed to take a shot at him to begin with. After Reagan was shot, enhanced security was enacted for all Presidents. This security increased after 9/11, and should have been high with reports of Iran apparently planning to assassinate President Trump prior to the shooting.   |

I can’t stand Joy Reid, never watch her program, and wish her time slot on MSNBC was given to someone more rational and less controversial. However, those particular questions she tweeted, while obviously provocative, are not especially outrageous or impertinent, several of which directly call into question the action and inaction of the USSS and law enforcement. Cheatle’s head will surely roll. At least it should. I had the TV on (CNN) when this horror happened but wasn’t closely watching initially. Interviewees later said they first thought the popping noise was firecrackers. That’s not unusual. Did the MSM downplay it? I’m not disputing your characterization. I’m just not in a position to judge the general MSM reaction. Viewing the replays which were being shown repeatedly, it was obviously gunfire, almost certainly directed at Trump as the intended target. When he stood up after the announcement that the shooter was down, he was bleeding from an injury. Whether that injury was caused by a bullet piercing his ear, or from shards of material struck by a bullet was unclear. In either case it was horrifying but gratifying he survived a very close call. |

That's a change, as she refused to answer any questions when asked by Senators at the Republican convention. Why did Cheatle even show up there if she was going to run from US Senators? Did she not know there would be Congressman and Senators at the Republican convention? I'm glad she's changed her mind and is showing up (and agree she should resign or be fired), but I'm expecting a generic "mistakes were made, but we can't discuss on on-going investigation" response. I hope there's a real bi-partisan investigation (there are apparently many whistleblowers coming forward), because any assassination attempt on ANY President (irrelevant of his political party) is a threat to the nation. After Reagan was shot, I hoped I'd never see an attempt again in my lifetime. |

I turned on at the end of Maria's interview with Sen Johnson, so I missed part of this. Apparently someone from the ATF was at the rally, climbed on the roof, and told the local cops to send pictures of the dead soy boy to a phone number. Why was the ATF even there? Why were they on the roof? Why did they ask for pictures of the soy boy?
There are too many questions about this that don't add up. After we saw what the FBI did to President Trump with their "Insurance Policy," can America trust the FBI to investigate this assassination attempt?
