I don't live here - I can't be everywhere at once and I don't need you doing the moderator job for me. If you're so interested, contact Admin and ask for a job! Meanwhile do NOT use my name again! If I have omitted a link, which is extremely rare, ask me, in a civil manner, to provide one. I will gladly comply. Do NOT insult my intelligence. If you just can’t help yourself, then I expect you to employ your sarcasm with everyone who may have similarly omitted a link, regardless of their politics. Hypocrite much? I've asked you multiple times for links and you gave the "it's an easy google search answer".

The question or statements about links seems much ado about nothing. Is not linking to X really that important as long as you cite who wrote it? Are you really plagiarizing a quote as long as you credit who wrote/said it?

I've asked you multiple times for links and you gave the "it's an easy google search answer". Different issues. The current one is sourcing and linking quoted material. Just as JDCJJ did here, and I did the other day, material was quoted and sourced but a link was omitted (although I later furnished one). You’re once again raising the separate issue of supporting claims for which I have, for weeks now, repeatedly asked you for evidence, to cite a single example. So far you have utterly failed to do so, completely ignoring my requests. Once again, show me the evidence. The burden is on you. A naked assertion doesn’t cut it.

Are you really plagiarizing a quote as long as you credit who wrote/said it? Technically there should be a link for this as well as for your recent Victor Davis Hanson article. In my case, I identified the author, the publication and the approximate date of publication, but was still berated and had my intelligence demeaned for omitting the link. But I agree, you’re clearly not passing the work off as your own (nor was I).

Kamala Harris finally reveals when she'll do a media sitdown interview 18 DAYS after dodging the pressKamala Harris said she will sit down for a media interview by the end of August after being repeatedly criticized by Republicans for not doing one. Harris has not given an in-depth interview since she became the Democratic presidential nominee. But she told reporters on Thursday night that 'I've talked to my team. I want us to get an interview scheduled before the end of the month.' She did not indicate a more specific date or what news outlet she would sit down with. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13727847/kamala-harris-interview-donald-trump.htmlUnreal...The Dems are doing their darndest to keep this woman away from a Mic unless she's reading a script. Get her off it, and she is exposed. They know it and we know it. The basement candidate 2.0.

The question or statements about links seems much ado about nothing. Is not linking to X really that important as long as you cite who wrote it? Are you really plagiarizing a quote as long as you credit who wrote/said it? When you site the source of a quote, you aren't plagiarizing. If it's an historical quote, such as quoting Mark Twain, JFK, or Thomas Jefferson, the quote plus attribution is sufficient. When it comes to a recent twitter.com/Twitter quote, why not just copy the URL from the twitter.com (Twitter) post and use the Forum's posting feature (the [ </> ] box icon on the top right) to post the quote and link? That way, if someone wants to read more of the author's quotes, reply to the author, etc, he/she is easily able to do so. In regards to copy/pasting an article, the issue is more clouded. Not only do you need to state who the author is, but Federal Copyright and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) laws may come into play. If the website has warnings about using copyrighted information, you should either follow their rules for sharing or abide by the "Fair Use" doctrine. If you get permission from the original source to share the quote in its entirety, you should link to the original source. For "Fair Use," you should provide an excerpt (but not the entire article) as well as post the link to the source. Additionally, Forum rules also state you should include a link to the original source. I hope this clarifies your question. If not, please let me or one of the other moderators know.
