The employment rate (not to be confused with UNemployment rate) is well below where it was at its peak under President Trump. Under President Biden, the U.S. employment rate STILL hasn't recovered since COVID-19. If I were Kamala, I'd think twice about taking that victory lap, but then I have something she or Biden will never have - honesty. With all of this fake stock market momentum they that fake numbers produced, you would think that the market would correct significantly today. But the three indexes are all up today. Logic definitely doesn’t drive this market. It looks like bullshit is king though. For decades now the market makes little sense it is all computer trading gambling. Might as well just use random number generators as to what stocks to buy/sell, once a stock starts to move other computers will see it and the price goes up/down. |

I'm shocked, shocked! Just as I and others expected, the Labor Department seems to have cooked the books to make the economy look better for political reasons. The jobs that have been created are going to immigrants, not native born US citizens. Agreed. That's why I posted this thread in the Politics section, not general discussion. It is purely political. The announcement was made for just one reason. It was intentionally timed by Biden and his DC swamp masters to be released during the DEM convention knowing full well the media would barely cover it (which is exactly what happened yesterday). This "data" will then be used to provide the cover the federal reserve will need to lower interest rates at their next meeting - and allow them to say the cut, of course, is data driven rather than a well-timed partisan political stunt. Truth is, the cut will be nothing but political. It will be timed to take place in the final 6 -7 weeks before the "election" - for the sole purpose of giving the DEMs and the media (yes, that is almost entirely redundant) a talking point at just the right time in an attempt to blunt the damage of the Harris/Biden administration's horrendous economic record. |

As wammies pointed out the Fed’s “funny money” injections drive the market. Those are like a drug that you need to do more of, each time, to get the same effect. It can’t last forever. The crash will be large when the stimulus no longer works. |
