I also think the media doesn’t really want her to win either. They have been way more critical of her than Biden in 2020 leading right up until the debate, then they had their “et tu Brute” moment.
I kinda noticed they started to turn on her a tad when Trump said he was done win or lose this election. If Trump loses, their meal ticket just walked out the door. No one drives ratings like Trump and without him, they are 100 percent irrelevant.
I also think Dims deep down don’t want her to win because they know it’ll be four horrible years, and without Trump running in 28, they’re fucked. They won’t be able to pull a Biden on Kamala and swap her out, and their shining star in Shapiro or Whitmer will have to wait at least eight years to run. Eight years is a political eternity.
Strategically, the Dims handed Kamala the torch for two reasons, the war-chest, and to serve her up as cannon fodder to eliminate her from their political gene pool. If she just so happens to win, they’ll cross the ‘28 bridge when they get there.
