For the "Trump is Hitler" crowd, I wonder how they think Trump will replay the Hitler/Nazi playbook. Hitler enforced his rule by violence. He had a private, paramilitary, armed army, loyal to him alone and outside of state control to back him up. He called it a "state within a state".
Where is Trump's army? Hmmm....
1. Vance/Musk/Gabbard/Kennedy/Ravaswammy? Ooooh, that's a scary bunch.
2. The US Military? Not a chance. Even though the Dems have done their best to drive out many of the best, there are still far too many people with honor and respect for the country in the armed forces for that to be possible.
3. A bunch of drunk, pick-up truck driving yahoos, trespassing on government property? That's not pretty, but hardly 1930's stuff.

I saw a Left Wing SuperPac ad from a group called "Seed the Vote" that clearly thinks it's option #1. It's dystopian, cheap sci-fi stuff: Trump dies in office, Vance replaces him as the autocrat for 30+ years, Florida is under water. US cities are in ruins. Elon Musk uses his tech money and expertise to turn himself into an immortal cyborg with laser-beam eyes. I'm not kidding. None of this is exaggerated and that is literally what is giving these people nightmares.
