Context? For example, Lincoln suspended Habeus Corpus but with a vote from Congress to do so. This might be something he was referring. Andrew Jackson ignored the Supreme Court resulting in the Trail of Tears. The Democrats/Biden have ignored Supreme Court rulings and are using the presidency to institute legislation time and time again. Washington used the military to go after citizens in the Whiskey Rebellion which was an incident brought about by Hamilton pushing for legislation that would cause the rebellion. FDR put US Citizens in internment camps and took their land in WWII. That was a direct violation of those people's rights in so many ways including not giving them Habeus Corpus, government confiscation of private land, and disallowing them free speech and freedom.
She also said that he opposes the 2nd Amendment.

Lincoln, the only actual dictator in American history, suspended Habeus Corpus unilaterally AFTER requesting the Congress to authorize it and AFTER they refused to do so. He then proceeded to ignore a SCOTUS decision which ruled he had no legal authority to do so. Habeus Corpus was suspended to 2 years by Lincoln in complete rejection of Congress, Scotus, and the constitution. In fact, Lincoln actually stated the constitution itself placed the authority of the president above the text of the document. 2 years later, Congress did suspend Habeus Corpus - but provided strict and specific guidance for the condition under which it could be done. Naturally, Lincoln ignored every single requirement Congress put in place. |
