I am more of a hard-rock/metal fan, as you may be able to tell by my images. There are some decent shows coming to St. Louis this summer. Post about any you’re excited for. Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Ministry and Filter - Sept. 1 at Riverport (I’ll never call it anything else). Ministry hasn’t been here since ‘98 or ‘99 (I believe), and now they have former Tool guitarist Paul D’Amour playing with them. Five Finger Death Punch and Marilyn Manson - Aug. 10 at Riverport

Not in StL, but going to this and cannot wait: I always wondered how huge festivals like this made money. With that many bands and all the infrastructure needed for the show it seems overwhelming. My kids used to go to the Warped Tour, with a similar number of bands and considering everything the ticket prices didn’t seem too bad. I wish them well and hope you enjoy the show.

Vikes, tickets aren’t cheap (but also not unreasonable with the lineup). About 80,000 will go to this. With the amount of tourism money brought in, I wouldn’t doubt if the city/state add some incentives.

Not in StL, but going to this and cannot wait: That is one sick lineup. Is Danny Elfman doing Oingo Boingo songs, or his millions of themes/soundtracks?

Jackie, no clue but wonder the same thing. I will report back after the show.
Also, I cannot wait for Sleep Token. I tried to start a thread about them in Pop Off, no responses. Check them out. They are coming to the Factory in May, it sold out really fast.

I've been to these types of things before. Wild time. Somewhat beyond me at this point with the travel required and the family obligations.
Have a good time.

Reporting back. SNW was amazing.
Jackie … Elfman did play the Simpsons theme and Nightmare Before Xmas. We actually missed those, as he started out playing stuff we didn’t know, and there were other bands we wanted to see. But you can find the videos on YouTube.
A Perfect Circle and Primus both were coming from their joint show at Red Rocks. Their gear got stuck in a snowstorm, so they had to patch things together. Primus went and bought instruments at the local Guitar Center. They signed them and are now auctioning them off for charity. Got close for both of those sets, they were awesome.
Poppy also made a guest appearance with Bad Omens, and Bring Me the Horizon had the 3 vocalists from Baby Metal come out and do Kingslayer.
oh yeah … Sleep Token was unreal. I had to skip some SOAD for them, but I’ve seen SOAD several times so it was worth it. Sleep Token is playing this Friday at the Factory, I really want to go, but can’t find a ticket!

Sleep Token is great. A little envious. That was an amazing lineup. Love Primus, A Perfect Circle and Lamb of God live. Killing Joke and slowdive are two of my favorites. Looks killer. Glad you gad fun.

But Lamb of God covered one of their songs. and APC played the best setlist I’ve heard in years. Judith was on there, which I don’t think they’ve done at all on many of the past tours

Lamb of God is such a tight fucking live band. I love their sets. Nice you got to see that APC set. I love them. Hits my sweet spot. Lol. Enjoy the Sleep Token show!

I hate to sound like an idiot here, but what is “today’s” System of a Down? Is Serj still in it?
I loved the band back in the late 90’s & early 2000’s. Then, they kept bickering with each other and Serj’s voice was kind of put on the back burner… IDK, the drama made me feel disinterested and I sort of forgot about them for the last decade+

Solly … it was awesome. The show definitely lended itself to being inside, unlike SNW. That was still great, but they did so much more with the lights and lasers in doors. I ate some mushroom chocolates. That helped!
Cool Papa … yes Serj is still there. They still sound great. I’m pretty sure it’s still the original lineup but don’t quote me on that.
