I think somewhere I said they might be .500 at the end of May. I'm not bragging so much as I'm saying that sometimes a blind squirrel can find a nut, but I'm pretty pleased considering the state of the team and, worse yet, the state of the management and coaching staff. My other prediction, back in the Old Country, was an 85-87 win season, no wild card but possibly winning the NL Central at that win level. Could it possibly happen? Cardinals aside, I don't see the Brewers as a 90 win team this year. Eventually the smoke goes away and the mirrors darken.

I think my big problem with them is they just aren't consistent. That probably has something to do with who they're playing though. Some teams just have that swagger. The important thing is to get to the dance though. Anything can and has happened then. Are they the best team in baseball? Not hardly. Can they win it all? Of course, it's baseball. Anything can happen in a short series.
