Feel free to post anything about the world’s most universally fantastic libation. I’ll start with what I drank last night while watching the USMNT deliver “dos a cero.” It is one of my top ten favorite beers. Brewed with cherries and elderberry. What’s not to love?

Great topic choice! I've found that as I've gotten older, my taste in beer has changed. I used to really like the stouter beers and dark beers in particular. I've now become more of a fan of the the Belgian Wheat beers, with Shock Top as my usual go-to. That said, I still enjoy Dos Equis Amber and the oh so hard to get (at least in this area) Kentucky Bourbon Ale beer.

You probably use the proper name—Indiana. Kentucky Bourbon Ale is everywhere around here. You can even find it on tap.

I did a Shlafly 7 course meal once at the River City Casino. It was at the 1904 Worlds Fair restaurant and the basically paired a beer with a served plate. It was there that I was introduced to their Rasberry Hefeweizen. They matched it with a Lava Cake. I’d bet this would go really well with a similar dessert offering. Hell, any dessert would do. Or, just order your significant other the dessert and the beer for yourself 😆🤣😂

Sort of related, but I was responding to L88’s thread about a food vacation and was trying to recall the name of a restaurant (couldn’t) in Vegas when I saw a place called “ Beer Park” Has anyone ever been? I want this to be exactly what I hope it is…

It’s not dearly as sweet as most of the stouts that are being served nowadays. It paired fine with mixed salted nuts.

This has become one of my favorite lower IBU beers that isn’t a dark beer. And as soon as I start loving it, it becomes much harder to get. It’s a really smooth Belgian Triple that touches the taste of some of the pricy imports. Probably the best I’ve had from the US.

The Original Czech Pilsner that is my favorite to get on tap in Europe... Has been available in America for some time under the Czechvar label.

I spent a lot of time in Salzburg, Austria and they had fantastic pils on to anywhere you went. But as arrogant as those fuckers were, they all agreed Czech pils were the best. We made unfulfilled plans to drive over on a weekend just to drink the Czech beer.

IIRC, it's one of the oldest operating breweries.

It's wonderful, the best thing AB has ever made.

One of my favorite Indiana breweries is Taxman. It’s run by a couple of guys who spent years in Belgium learning how to brew beer. One of their more peculiar beers is No Sparge. It’s a lightly balanced, malt forward beautifully colored beer that imo tastes fantastic. It’s like a lighter version of a barleywine. But beware, it punches above its weight and at 12% ABV, you better drink it judiciously.
