Pardon me for my usual rant whenever the Cards play Houston. I live 275 friggin' miles from Minute Maid Park, but can't get the games because of MLB's antiquated and counterproductive blackout rules. I know you know.

Don't worry, Oli will make sure that the Cardinals roll over.

I know you know. /rant I know the feeling as I suffered like you did. I ended up stringing antenna wires in my shop so I was able to pick up KMOX in the evening to listen to. However, it still prevented me from using the streaming service I paid for...

I know you know. /rant I use streaming sites. It's hard to get the home broadcast when they're playing away but I can still see and hear the games. Try this. streameast.cloud/mlbstreamsMods, if I'm overstepping here just delete it and let me know. I haven't had cable for years and I can't afford MLB streaming packages. Fair warning, make sure you have a pop-up blocker or ad-blocker on. I love uBlock Origin in the firefox add-ons. Stops your browser from getting hi-jacked. As I say, I use firefox and am not sure if it's available on Chrome or any of the other browsers.

I also use the Brave Browser (which is a version on the Chrome browser) as well as Firefox. I started using it because it blocks ads on YouTube and ended the problem of YouTube telling me I had to disable my adblocker.

MLB is hurting themselves with this stuff. If you want to grow the next generation of baseball fans, you need to make the games accessible on TV to local markets that don't include having to upgrade your cable.

Like Lance Berkman said, "When they say it's not about the money, it's always about the money." Remember when they gave Ozzie his contract and everyone was shocked and what a defense first no hit shortstop was getting. LOL Now they throw away that of money.

I know you know. /rant I’m right there with you. I lived in North Texas for a couple of years. The Rangers were the local team. Astros were never played locally. And then the Astros and Cardinals games would be blacked out on the MLB pack. This was in the early 2000s when the rivalry was really good.
