An 8.8% drop gets noticed. For full accountability, Cardinals attendance pickes up after school lets out, and declines again after schools start back up in late summer, but they're still about 5.5% down along that trend.
And this is just reported attendance.

any speculation as to why?
Im sure the roaring economy and drastic reduction in street crime have nothing to do with it
could it be the Cards are putting a sub par product on the field?

Michael Siani
How can you expect to win with that?
As it is, in this particular game, Mikolas is throwing a no hitter through 6 so they are in a scoreless game and have a chance.
The point is, their lineup is garbage.
So is their defense.
And I'll remind everyone that this off-season they didn't add a single player of significance to improve either the offense or the defense.
Garbage team. Garbage front office.

They can still contend for the division title in this weak year with a change of manager. Long term, they need a change of GM too. A 9% drop in attendance is sure to get noticed. |
