And are on their way to South Florida to play the lowly Marlons.
Before you proffer up another yawn, did you know that this gives the Cardinals the fifth best record in the NL? Yep, only 4 NL clubs are over .500. And it isn't just a matter of the AL dominating interleague play. Only 7 AL clubs are over .500 as well. It seems parity is at a low point in MLB. Didn't see that coming.
For all the gimmickry, MLB is trending towards less interesting baseball. The MLB batting average is the 2nd lowest since 1900. Maybe we need real ghost runners and designated fielders.

Dodgers just put Yamamoto on the 15 Day IL and lost Mookie Betts to a fractured wrist… the NL just got a lot tighter. I was a pretty big proponent for selling at the deadline, because I have zero confidence in this team to do much of anything. However, if they can make a move for a front of the rotation starter, I could get on-board with an NLCS run. That is amazing, considering I penned them at 78-84

That is amazing, considering I penned them at 78-84 I pegged them at about 87 wins, a lot, even for an optimist like me. But if this is a .500 team with a clueless manager and coaching staff, they could really be a 90-win team with a good manager. Couldn't they?
