this should add excitement to the game.
unfortunetly, they penalized the hip tackle, so its about glorified flag football

This is awesome. this should add excitement to the game. unfortunetly, they penalized the hip tackle, so its about glorified flag football I missed this… what is their definition of a “hip tackle?” I don’t know that I could discern that from basic wrapping up… A hip-drop tackle is when a defender wraps up an offensive player on the side or from behind, becoming dead-weight while often landing on the player's legs. The technique has become popular as players get faster and stronger, giving smaller defenders a chance in a league that continues to award more advantages to offenses. ALways looked like a wrap up tackle to me also |

Here I thought flag football meant pulling a flag, but this sounds more like conveniently throwing a penalty flag on 3rd and long for a team advocating for a new stadium or land |
