Donald Trump will be sentenced to prison on July 11

They know how the voters will react?  That's what I'm talking about - most of us know how slimy the government is and there is no bottom to how low they will go but how will the voters react?  Wonder if they took that into consideration in their plot to interfere in the election.

Okay, my apologies!  Apparently I'm not getting my point across trying to be subtle.

The only group with actual plans for civil war -- Project 2025 -- and the only group incessantly talking about (pining for?) civil war is MAGA.  Well, maybe the Antifa types too but unlike MAGA they have been marginalized as they should be.

In the case where there is perceived widespread election fraud (not just from Trump supporters), the most likely scenario (and I don't really think it's likely) is that many states simply refuse cooperation with the federal government. Our federal system really only works when everyone cooperates, and without cooperation from the states, the federal government would all but grind to a halt. It's not like it has the manpower to step in and take over from the states - that in itself WOULD instigate widespread rebellion. 

My hope is that the states finally wake up and realize that Congress will NEVER do what is necessary to fix the system, because those fixes would require them to give up power. We desperately need term limits for Congresscritters and a balanced budget that will require a constitutional amendment - which Congress would never do. It's up to the states to call a constitutional convention and force these amendments AROUND Congress. That's my hope.

I don't subscribe to the belief that Trump was robbed in 2020. If anything, I think most who voted for Biden were voting against Trump rather than for Biden. Trump is divisive, no doubt. But can you really say that things weren't much better during his tenure? COVID-19 was a once-in-a-lifetime event that affected ALL corners of the globe, but in hindsight was made worse by the overreaction and panicked shutdown of the economy - by mostly democratic governors and mayors. Trump unfortunately didn't know when to keep his mouth shut and still doesn't, but his policies are head-and-shoulders above what Kamala has proposed. Of course we have to compare to her policies from 2019-2020 because she refuses to tell anyone what they are now ... or what they will be next week/month.

Now in the unlikely case where there is evidence of widespread fraud, I stand by my scenario where the states simply refuse to cooperate with the federal government. Either way, my ideas about constitutional amendments still stand. We need term limits and we need a balanced budget amendment.
