It would be political suicide for Biden (or any politician) to do anything besides denounce the assassination attempt. Agreed. Another reason arative’s post was ridiculous. But I don’t doubt the sincerity of the statements notwithstanding it would be suicidal not to make them. All the Dems who have called him a threat to democracy have to now publicly be thankful he's safe. They're violent rhetoric caused this. |

Reported to be an AR type firearm. Not exactly an X buster at over 400 yards. This shooter was within 400 ft so 133 yards which is nothing for a .223. 400 yards is still doable with an AR The AR platform is very accurate. I have a 106 year old Swedish m41/B sniper rifle. It has a 1942 German AJACK scope on it. I shot it in vintage sniper competition a few years back. 600 yards is a good start, well it was. Your ideas of accuracy and mine might differ. 133 yds. is child's play. Somebody in security is getting his ass handed to him right now . |

Well there's a shooter involved too but you're talking about 0.5 in a perfect environment and a 55-72 grain bullet handles imperfections a lot worse than a 156 grain round. Let's face it this hero probably wasn't shooting an AR built to that tolerance. Basically then the story goes the 5.56, 223 platform doesn't work as well at over 400 yds. than hundreds of other rifles and rounds. I'm using the shooter's choice of firearm as a basis for the distance. |

Some questions need to be addressed. - Why was that roof top not covered prior to Trump speaking?
- Why didn't the police and SS not respond to a couple of guys who told them that a guy with a rifle was going up the side of that building?
- What was the protocol for checking out this venue? Are there cameras? Was this site selected by the shooter earlier in the week?
- Who is the shooter? I know that there is speculation as to a name. I don't know that name to be accurate at this time. Who did this guy communicate with? Are there others who knew about this and did they help in the planning?
- Will Trump get extra protection for the remainder of this campaign?
- Will President get more protection?
President Biden was not prepared to state that this was an assassination attempt. Amazing. God help our country if some idiot attempts to get revenge. God help our country if some other operative tries to finish the job on Trump.
