Yeah, he mentioned “peacefully” one time in an hour and ten minute inflammatory exhortation. I doubt it even registered with the fired up crowd on the mall or the “patriots” already on the Capitol grounds where his speech was being streamed. Provide any evidence that he called for violence. ______________ Here is what we do have. Democratic politicians have been calling Trump "Hitler." They have been calling him "evil." They have stated many times that he will end Democracy in America and become a dictator. We have Biden saying that they need to put a "bullseye" on Trump. You have all kinds of leftist media making suggestions that Trump needs to be harmed. Reference the View. Do you really want to compare the rhetoric of the Democratic nominees Trump has faced with the latter’s inflammatory diatribes? There is no comparison. Trump’s rhetoric is far worse, far more toxic, far more provocative than any I have witnessed in my lifetime, and I was born during the Truman administration. That said, it goes without saying that nothing justifies this contemptible and cowardly assassination attempt. Thank God Trump survived and condolences to the family of the deceased individual and those who were injured. |

.5 MOA is out of the box accuracy with many ARs at this point. But yes someone either fucked up or was bought off. Not sure we will learn which it was. Well there's a shooter involved too but you're talking about 0.5 in a perfect environment and a 55-72 grain bullet handles imperfections a lot worse than a 156 grain round. Let's face it this hero probably wasn't shooting an AR built to that tolerance. Basically then the story goes the 5.56, 223 platform doesn't work as well at over 400 yds. than hundreds of other rifles and rounds. I'm using the shooter's choice of firearm as a basis for the distance. Oh I don't disagree there are better long range rounds/rifles. It was your original comment that implies the AR is not that accurate that was the reason for my response. For many the AR platform has reached mythical status, especially in the anti-gun circles. |

If anyone is watching Fox, Trump was giving a speech and had just told his people to stop the teleprompter and that he didn't need it. He was complimenting his staff when it sounded like shots fired out. I think four or five at least. Trump was put on the ground by Secret Service. When he was helped up. it appeared he was bleeding from or above his right ear. It is being observed that there was something that happened just in front of the podium. Most people are shaken and confused. They just played the moment when the shooting sounds started. Trump grabs for his ear as he is falling. IMO, this is what you get when you say that someone represents the end of democracy for our country. Most people are shaken and confused. I have a 106 year old Swedish m41/B sniper rifle. It has a 1942 German AJACK scope on it. I shot it in vintage sniper competition a few years back. 600 yards is a good start, well it was. Your ideas of accuracy and mine might differ. 133 yds. is child's play.
