They don't pitch great. They don't hit great. The only reason they have any chance at all is the relief pitching. This is shameful that they put this kind of product on the field and expect 3 million in attendance. It's time to make great changes and it all starts with pitching. We need a young dominant pitcher that can be counted on to go out and dominate a team. It would bring excitement back to the club and fans. We also need more runs. Whether it be by running or hitting. We don't score near enough and we can't shut teams down. You don't lose consistently to a team like the Nats. It's an embarrassment. I'm all for blowing things up. Gone...Carlson, Noot, Edman, Arenado, Goldshmidt, Mikolas, Lynn, Libertore, and I'm sure there is more. Call it a rebuild. Other teams do it. Why can't the Cards. Lack of 1st round picks eventually degrades a teams farm system. It's time. I sick of the bullshit going on now.

There’s a lot of young guys and the old guys are predominantly on short-term deals. It’s not ideal, but they’re at a point where they need to shit or get off the pot. They need to make a Big Move for the long term if they wish to compete. I’m talking Crochet & Luis Roberts type deal

They need someone exciting in the rotation and on the field. I fear Sonny is hurt.

I'll revise my estimate. They're not even good at anything. Maybe they could take their one great weapon, closer, and leverage that to get a haul of top flight talent. Surely he'd be worth a contending teams 2 or 3 top 10 minor league players. We aren't going to make the playoffs with him so why keep him and lose out on a great package.
