The US is adding 1T of debt every 100 days. Does anybody care? Trump got elected. It will be all forgotten about. Until/If a Dem ever gets in again.

I'm not going to try and convince anyone of anything. If they don't have the brains to understand this, as you did, I'm sure not wasting time on them. Thank you for spelling it out for them They might be funded from payroll taxes, but it’s still paid from the govt tax revenues. We can't afford taxcuts for the rich. Doesn't stop them from getting thm passed. and foreign aid. Lets not forget that.

Obama doubled the US debt in his 8 years from 10-20T. Trump added 8T in his 4 years. Biden has added nearly 10T in his 4 years. I guarantee Trump will beat that.

You didn't like inflation before? Wait until Trump has his second go through between his spending, deportation and taxes (tariffs) plans.

It may be too late for Elon and Vivec’s new DOGE to save us, but it’s worth a try. We have to try.

Wait until Trump has his second go through between his spending, deportation and taxes (tariffs) plans. There's been talk of bringing back the Executive Impoundment practice. Congress passed The Impoundment Control Act of 1974 because Nixon was refusing to spend money authorized by Congress. Many say that the law is unconstitutional, so Trump may say so and force a legal battle to control spending. Additionally, Trump can downsize the Federal government on his own; alternatively, the Republicans can authorize it and including "separation packages" using Budget Reconciliation to avoid the Senate filibuster. If you cut federal bureaucrats, you won't have the people to squander money. However, the concern still that there are too many RINO establishment members on the Hill to enact even a budget freeze, let alone a budget cut. If Trump wanted to really blow the left's mind, he should propose his 2020 pre-Covid budget as the base and adjust it for inflation. Trump's proposed 2020 budget was a massive $4.79 Trillion dollars. Contrast that to the $6.75 Trillion we have now. Obviously, not all of that $2 trillion can be cut (much is social security/health care), but there's lots that can be cut.

The problem is, any type of spending cuts will destroy GDP and the economy.

The problem is, any type of spending cuts will destroy GDP and the economy. More than likely, but what’s the harm in trying to correct course? You are fixated on the doom. But this is the first time anyone has even discussed cutting billions in spending. It has to be done.

History proves all fiat currencies collapse and ours will be no different. I’m just being a realist. I think that we need to cut spending dramatically and begin to get closer to spending what we take in, immediately. Yes, it will be tough to save the dollar and our economy. But, the alternative that you seem to embrace is calling for doom, but not being willing to even try to address it. This is the first time that anything is being discussed to lower government expenses dramatically. I know of our entitlements and our massive debt. But the alternative to trying is giving up. How unAmerican is that?

All they care about is spending money - Kamala's campaign is a perfect example. Blew more than a BILLION dollars in 3 months AND LOST!
