We've seen Texas lining up Lamborghini's as part of their recruiting drive. During the transfer portal, LSU Coach Kelly commented in a radio interview that they weren't going to get into a bidding contest for a transfer player (in essence, a one year rental). Now we're seeing a high school kid that is going to be paid $800K per year to go to Georgia Tech -- and that's just the start of what he's going to earn.
This is also Georgia Tech, not Georgia or another SEC/Big 10 university. NIL payments are not only changing the game, but if there's not some sort of national standards, they are going to ruin the game.
