When your emotions overcome your reason to the point where you'd be willing to limit the freedom of everyone because you don't think it's equitable otherwise, scorn is the proper response. Do you heap scorn at mothers who have lost children to drunk driving? I don't, even though I don't agree with the laws that they want to enact. If they want to punish everyone else to assuage their grief rather than focusing on the offenders, then yes. There are proposals from the Biden administration right now to require ALL cars to have car breathalyzers and not just those convicted of DUI. I oppose any 'solution' that treats everyone as a criminal. Pre-crime units are supposed to be a story, not a reality.
