They can dress it up with all the slogans and euphemistic language they want, but today's progressivism is simply yesterday's failed socialism. Over and over and over again.

So what happens when 25% of AGI isn't sufficient to keep up maintenance on the property? What if it isn't sufficient to keep the home up to modern, efficient standards? Who pays the shortage? I think we all know the answer to that. It either doesn't get paid and the property eventually falls apart, or they tax even more to benefit the takers in society. Everyone wants to live in a luxury home - but not everyone can afford to pay for a luxury home. There are two good reasons why public housing eventually ALWAYS falls into disrepair and decrepitude: 1. People not paying for something rarely take care of that something, and 2. The rents charged (if any) are never sufficient to keep the housing properly maintained.

These communists have all the answers. I think they should go to some under-developed country and implement these wonderful ideas and show us how wonderful the world would be if they only would do what they are suggesting. I'll wait here in my horrible capitalist country and watch the glory unfold.

Demanding something for nothing, march these creeps into a strong river current at gun point.

I'll wait here in my horrible capitalist country and watch the glory unfold. Our 'horrible' capitalist country is so bad that our poor are fat. Let that sink in. For the first time in the entire span of human history, the poorest people consume too many calories, not too few. We can argue about the quality of those calories, but nobody is starving unless they want to a caretaker is starving them. What we call 'poor' today in America would be well off in any other time in history and when compared to most other countries in the world today. Damn exploitative capitalism!

So, zero incentive for builders to provide the market with a quality product. And zero incentive for the low income earners to improve their value in the employment market or to maintain property values. And therefore no incentive for those with assets to invest in real estate - which of course, means less capital in the active economy. Other than the fact the plan is nonsense on every level, it pretty good.
