There’s some who think it could be politically motivated and they would be stupid. Hes been wearing that Lebanese patch for years. I’m sure it’s just the timing, relevance, and how it was handled. I believe I read somewhere that Saleh’s parents are Lebanese immigrants. That said, it’s not like the NFL has any merit to stand on when it comes to stuff like this. More than likely, Woody Johnson asked Aaron Rodgers for an opinion and Rodgers did not support Saleh. Their relationship didn’t exactly look great and Nathaniel Hacket is still employed.

"Yeah, I mean yesterday was a day that reminds you of the simple fact that all of us who've played know all too well, and that's that it's a tough business," Rodgers said. "It's a beautiful profession, it's incredible, it's done so much for our lives, but it's also a really tough business.
"As far as any of the ridiculous allegations out there, I'm not going to spend more than one sentence in response to it. And that is that I resent any of those accusations because they're patently false. It's interesting the amount of power that people think that I have, which I don't. But I love Robert, and it was one of those days yesterday."

Rather than starting a new thread.... Saints fire head coach Dennis Allen after humbling loss to Panthers.
The New Orleans Saints have fired head coach Dennis Allen according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
The Saints started the season with a 2-0 record while outscoring opponents 91-29. Since then, the team has lost seven straight games while looking increasingly uncompetitive, but the final straw was Week 9’s 23-22 loss to the Panthers.
