I just voted. I live in Illinois. What amazed me is that on my ballot, you can vote for one cadidate who identifies as Democrat. That is it. Harris! I know one candidate for Judge is a Democrat since I know that judge personally. However, that judge was not identified on the ballot as Democrat.
The last question on the ballot is whether county officials should work with other counties to work to seperate the rest of Illinois from Chicago. HELL YES!!! Illinois is only Blue due to Chicago. Downstate Illinois with the exception of a couple of cities and St. Claire County is all Red.

This just in ----------- My wife was initially refused the ballot to vote. A lady who is obviously not from our area since everyone in Small Town USA knows her and her family refused to give her a ballot. This lady asked for her license. She provided it. She provided her voter registration card. She had to have someone call for an "Election Captain" to come to deal with this. There were so many people in there who knew her. This one lady continued to insist that my wife could not vote. This lady said that my wife had lived in at least 3 or 4 residences in the last year. My wife kept telling her that she had never lived anywhere else but in Small Town, USA. The "Election Captain" who is not from our area finally decided after 40 minutes that my wife could vote. Several people identified who she is and my nephew, who is a police officer said that she is who she is. DANM LIBERALS. They do this to prevent an actual voter from voting. Apparently, the "Election Captain" took over for this lady and found my wife's registration easily when he finally made her move and let him see the screen.

Where I vote, it's the same people who work the election for every election (not just the "major" elections), year after year. Are the people were you vote at appointed by the Party or the Secretary of State's office. On election day, there seem to be familiar faces but not on early voting. In my small town, people know most of the people. I didn't know a person in the room who was working the election. That makes sense. The gov't could have sent Democrats from elsewhere to "help" people vote. |
