Because fuck the Rams & fuck the Hunts. Go Brock Purdy!
Whats to like about the 49ers? Tons. The most obvious being they’ve been at the top for a while. This team has sustained success with former badass Strong Safety, Super Bowl Champ, and Hall of Famer John Lynch as their GM. He was one of my favorites when he was a player, I always liked those Buccaneers teams with Mike Alstott, Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks, Rhonde Barber, Warren Sapp, Simeon Rice, and Dexter Jackson among others.
The ole ball coach Kyle Shanahan is probably the best offensive mind in the game because he’d probably be one of the best defensive minds, too. Son to famed Head Coach Mike Shanahan, Kyle is a QB guru, perfectionist, and well liked coach who has already amassed an impressive coaches tree at the age of just 44.
He’s earned his dues and been a huge part of 3 Super Bowl appearances. I think the 49ers have even made 4-straight NFC Championship Games. 2 with Jimmy G, 2 with Brock Purdy.
Speaking of Brock Purdy, he’s Kurt Warner reincarnated. Humble young man drafted last overall. Does nothing but win. Easily the most likable player in the NFL. You likely saw what he could do in the NFL, leading 3 offensive series after the 4th Quarter that would take the lead in the biggest game.
This team in general shares a lot of traits w/the Greatest Show on Turf. Trent Williams (Orlando Pace) is the best OT in the game. Their offensive weapons are unstoppable, with Deebo Samuel (WR), Brandon Aiyuk (WR), George Kittle (TE), and Christian McCaffrey embodying the eye popping athleticism and numbers that only Mike Martz and StL Football Fans could appreciate. They are Bruce, Holt, Hakim/Proele, and Faulk at Prime Time.
The Defense is stacked. Lead by AllPros and generational talent like Fred Warner & Nick Bosa, the team is loaded with talent. Other studs not mentioned are AllPro or Starting Probowl quality players like Talanoa Hufanga(injury), who’s style of play closest mimics Troy Polamalu, Anthony Hargrave who’s a dynamo up the middle, and Charvarius Ward on the corner.
Hop in the bandwagon and enjoy those 2 W’s over the shysters!
