He was part of the "Gang of 8" Amnesty legislation, he's been a NeoCon when it comes to foreign wars including Iraq, Afghanistan, and funding Ukraine. On the positive side, he's going to be tough on China and Iran. The big challenge for the State Department isn't foreign nations (Trump sets the policy), but cleaning out the radical leftist staff. Victoria Nuland, who caused enough damages in Ukraine (her actions in 2014 gave Russia justification is seizing Crimea), is retired. We need to encourage her associates to retire as well.

Nuland was the Color Revolution Dominatrix of the State Department. Her "actions" in 2014 was to pull off a coup, toppling the popularly elected government to install a puppet government that would align with the EU and NATO. That started the civil war, which Biden blew open into a full blown war by demanding Ukraine join NATO. The problem in the State Dept goes deeper than leadership. Remember, they protested Trump, put up the Alphabet Mafia flag in embassies around the world against direct orders, and subverted American foreign policy at every chance. They are as bad as the Deep State in the Defense and Intelligence agencies.

Don't think this is a cabinet position, but is there a more important ambassadorship?

The State Department is the deepest and most foul part of the swamp. It will likewise be the last part drained, if Trump ever gets that far. The State Department was crawling with communists under FDR and Truman, as we learned somewhat from the Hiss affair to be later confirmed by the Verona Papers. The State Department is most responsible for the Vietnam War and its eventual outcome. South Vietnam could have prevailed before American fighting soldiers ever hit the ground if the SD hadn't undermined and lied to Kennedy at every turn. Fast forward to today and one sees no improvement. We now call communists socialists, but they're still infecting State. Is Marco the guy to clean house? I doubt it and hope he surprises me.

Don't think this is a cabinet position, but is there a more important ambassadorship? It's a good pick, although Trump will likely talk directly with Netanyahu. As far as more important, our ambassador with England is always at the top because of the "Special Relationship" with England (remember, the Brits will tell you that they saved us from defeat in two World Wars). Our ambassador to Japan, China, and Russia will also be important as Trump tries to "un-unite" Russia from China while simultaneously squeezing the Chi-Comms. Japan will continue to be our most important ally in Asia, especially from a military standpoint.

I would love to see Trump pick Ken Paxton for AG. Paxton has been the target of lawfare from both parties in Texas and has prevailed so far. This will be the crux of intense opposition in his confirmation hearings. Be ready if it happens. If Trump nominates Paxton it will be a signal that Trump is ready for all-out war with the Democrat-media complex, because he's going to get one.

Well said, Brummer. Trump will likely sign Schedule F, allowing firing of apparatchiks in mid-level management. Trump is going to need a team to go through State and weed out the commies. Little Marco isn't going to do that - he's positioning himself to run for President again.

Mark Paoletta is Trump's lawyer. While this isn't about appointments per se, it shows what Trump's priorities will be when fixing the nation and purging the government of leftist obstructionists.

Not gonna lie, I am surprised by this 1 It's out of left field, but he's been a strong advocate of not only veterans but our troops, combat readiness, and fighting the woke BS that the illegitimate Biden regime has been forcing on the military. He's also the first Defense Secretary that I can remember who didn't have ties to the Deep State or military contractors.
