It was about 11 years ago when I first saw a 5 minute video satirically questioning the official story about 9/11. I listened to it three times before I wrote down some names and subjects to research. Within a few days I became obsessed with the subject. Here is that video. A sort of amateur production, but I found it powerful. corbettreport.com/911-a-conspiracy-theory/I began to question everything about what we were told. I found countless lies, misleading reports, and the fact that you couldn’t talk about it publicly. You were branded crazy. Maybe even dangerous. I won’t go much further here, but since this time we have learned that: - the MSM is controlled and lies constantly - our government has lied to us countless times. - the deep state loves war, spending on war, and lying to & spying on the American people. 9/11 gave them this opportunity in spades.

Anyone who thinks the US Government hasn’t manipulated the press as an arm for propaganda is simply ignorant. It is taught about every major US war, going all the way back to and before the United States ever existed. Anyone who thinks America doesn’t gain anything from war hasn’t paid attention to the fact the US Air Force (1), US Army (2), US Navy (4), and US Marine Corps (7) all rank in the Top 7 largest Air Forces in the world. Nor have they paid attention to the massive technical advantage we have enjoyed by investing in the military (clothes, vehicles, radar, communication, GPS, satellites, internet, etc). It’s always been about accepting the narrative and whether we should get MORE involved. I don’t need to be in a list. Who are the people and what did they do?

Our response to 9/11 should have been more in line with Teddy Roosevelt's "Speak softly but carry a big stick" philosophy. Attempting to invade and occupy Afghanistan was, in hindsight, a huge mistake. We could have simply let the Taliban know that if they wanted to continue ruling the country from anywhere more substantial than a cave in the mountains, then they should hand over Bin Laden and his lieutenants. Each time they said 'no,' should have been followed with air attacks on Taliban government facilities, followed by carpet bombing the poppy fields that they relied upon for their revenue. We didn't need boots on the ground. As history has proven, people are rarely rescued from a tyrannous government by outside forces. Even Germany took about ten years after WW2 to root out the remaining Nazi influences, and the country was completely devastated. As bad as Saddam was in Iraq, he was still a counterbalance to Iran. If the Iraqis wanted to be free, it was on them to do the heavy lifting, not us.

This is where you get nasty, and start putting words in my mouth that I didn’t say. I never made the claim that droves of people were flocking to this theory. I asked, knowing what we now know, does it cause anyone to reconsider what they think that they believe.

Yes, and I said no one is changing their mind and you said "you don't speak for everyone" and I then responded "so show me the ones that are changing their minds". It's not nasty, it's reality, something you won't acknowledge.

Had it just been to you I would have indicated so.

If the Iraqis wanted to be free, it was on them to do the heavy lifting, not us. I don't have a problem with the US going in to kill Al Qaeda and as many Taliban as we did. W's mistake was relying on Afghan tribal leaders to get Bin Laden when he was trapped at Tora Bora instead of sending in more US troops. Cheney and W were more focused Iraq (they were actually pulling troops out of Afghanistan before Bin Laden escaped). However, once we knew that Bin Laden escaped to Pakistan, we should have pulled our troops out of Afghanistan then, not twenty years later. I agree with you on how W, Cheney, and the NeoCons fucked up the Middle East by toppling Saddam. I opposed the war from the very beginning, as Saddam was boxed in and not a threat. The WMD story was all bullshit from the beginning. Once we decided to topple the government, our next mistake was sending firing the Republican Guard instead of keeping it in control and paid. We could have easily propped up a government w/o Saddam, but with their Army, instead of sending tens of thousands of Saddam's best trained men to fight a guerrilla war against us. Once again, we shouldn't be in the business of Nation Building. Hopefully we won't get into any wars under Trump. We also need to leave rebuilding Ukraine to Europe and Gaza/Lebanon to the Arabs. Its their sandbox to play in, anyway.

First I want to know what the OP's theory is after your 11 years of being woke about 9/11.
There is a massive difference between the US Government knowing 9/11 would occur and allowed it to occur, and the US Government orchestrating the whole thing. I need to know what the OP's position on that is before responding with more substance.
For example, if WTC 7 was a controlled demolition (it wasn't), then who cares about potential Saudi involvement at that point?
11 years is plenty. Provide your theory on 9/11.

I think the key to understanding who pulled off 9/11, and why, is the white paper called the Project for a New American Century. Written two years before 8/11, the PNAC makes conquering the Middle East a primary objective. It states that what is needed is a “new Pearl Harbor” to outrage Americans, and motivate a war-weary population into large conflicts. www.loc.gov/item/lcwaN0011283/ Damned if it didn’t happen.
