I thought I would start a thread where posters could list the terrible movies they’ve wasted part of their lives and help spare us the same fate.
I’ll start with Rebel Moon (part1).
Terrible. Terrible acting Unbelievable plot A stupid scene with a half spider half human opponent
I dare you to watch it and come back here and tell me you thought it was really good.

I don't see Zack Snyder movies. Not after Man of Steel.
So...Man of Steel.
But the worst experience I've had recently in a theater was Killers of the Flower Moon. Great book. The movie is 4 hours of horsehit.

I seriously don't know where to begin, but I know where to end: the decision to downplay the procedural plot in favor of focusing on every tedious, repetitive detail of Ernest talking to first one lackey and then another is the most misguided move in a film adaptation I can think of. So, they didn't want to do a White Savior narrative--fine. But then instead of telling the story from the POV of an Osage character, they put Leo in every damn frame of the movie. If you're going to be cynical, then your movie should at least be entertaining. Lily G. is great, but she's barely in it, and all she does is lie in bed helplessly.

Bluebeard, from 1972.
When it was released, I was your normal hetero teenager. This movie had Raquel Welch, Joey Heatherton, Sybil Danning, Virna Lisi and others in various states of undress, and I didn’t even stay until the end.

Jupiter Ascending
Matrix Um… whatever the newest one was
The first two I didn’t watch, but Napoleon w/Joaquin Phoenix I did and it was boring. How can you make a movie about Napoleon boring!? Well, you focus on Josephine… because???

I saw Napoleon, but I couldn't describe a single thing about it. That says it all.

Well, you focus on Josephine… because??? I started watching a Jupiter Ascending, but I didn’t make 30 minutes. At least Rebel Moon starts out better.

I saw Napoleon, but I couldn't describe a single thing about it. That says it all. It was a slog to get through. In some weird way, I thought I was watching Arthur Fleck (Joker) portraying Napoleon. The only difference was, he didn’t have a laughing condition. The sequences where they showed him interacting with Josephine were awkward, and honestly felt like a different movie. The battle scenes looked like they could be cool, but like you said, I don’t recall a damn thing about them.

I strayed away from both, largely because I just didn’t trust the directors after some bad projects they’d done recently. So, on both occasions, I waited for the critics and oh boy did they have something to say…
