I find these comps constantly on Facebook and thought this was cool. It provoked a question for me, whether Joey Votto is a deserving candidate for enshrinement. That .409 OB% is otherworldly. The OPS is outstanding. However, he was a leader on teams that never amounted to anything and while he drew walks, the team needed hit to drive in Runs in order for them to succeed. 2,135 Hits, 459 Doubles, & 356 Homers are just not good enough for Hall Enshrinement. Even with all those walks (1,365), he just doesn’t have the Runs (1,171) nor RBI’s (1,144). Compare that with another First Baseman in the same division, who wasn’t playing 1/2 his career in a bandbox. Hits: 3,384 Runs: 1,914 RBI’s: 2,218 Doubles: 686 Homers: 703 Walks: 1,373 OPS: 918

If there were a Hall of Household Names, perhaps he could be a member, but not of the Hall of Fame.
