These are the St. Louis-area's best barbecue restaurants, according to viewers
ST. LOUIS — Midwesterners tend to hold their barbecue preferences near and dear to their hearts, so 5 On Your Side asked viewers which restaurants in the St. Louis area have their favorite barbecue.
Viewers responded on social media with several mouth-watering, finger-licking restaurants on both sides of the Mississippi River.

In Missouri, the most viewers voted for Heavy Smoke in St. Charles, and Pappy's Smokehouse in St. Louis was a close runner-up. On the Illinois side, Steve's Old Cabin in Jerseyville received the most votes.
