Nothing like restoring confidence in elections better than saying early it will take days to determine rig an outcome.
Given that PA cant count ballots in a timely manner, they should count ZERO ballots until ALL ballots are received.

It almost appears they need time to produce and post ad many ballots as necessary to win. Just like 4 years ago. I feel like Trump has to win MI or PA. Maybe both.

Entire countries of tens of millions of people can count all their ballots in one night but PA can't manage that? Nothing will change until the people in charge of the elections are actually scared of the People.

It depends on the State and the races. If it's not the results those in charge want, then the election will drag out weeks until the preferred candidate gets just enough votes to eek a win out. If it is the preferred candidate ahead, they will immediately call the race for the candidate and that's the end of it.

Does any state count 100% of the ballots and submit final results on election night? 100%? Maybe in some where state law mandates that all ballots, including absentee, must be received by a certain time (e.g. 7:00 pm) on Election Day. But many states - red, blue and purple - only require that absentee ballots, including military and overseas ballots, be postmarked by Election Day and will still be counted if received within a specified number of days thereafter. Obviously in those cases there will not be a 100% count on the night of the election, but in many instances the margin will be such that the number of outstanding votes can’t make up the difference and the state can be safely awarded to one of the candidates. The Pennsylvania advisory noted in the OP is not nefarious or unusual, but it makes nice fodder for the rigged election conspiracists.

That's kinda the point. Countries with more people than those states can do it, but we can't? Or cities can't? Like in Missouri where the whole state will report before St. Louis and Kansas City?

You should try doing your own research for a change though.

How many people voted in the US? France is geographically smaller than the state of Texas. Why do you think counting the votes faster equates with counting them more accurately? I would rather they take their time to verify the mail in votes -- this is what causes the delay, not the machine counting.

"WHEN ARE RESULTS EXPECTED? The official vote-counting process, which is lengthy and laborious, may take up to 35 days to be completed, the maximum time regulated by the Elections Law.
The official vote-counting process, which is lengthy and laborious, may take up to 35 days to be completed, the maximum time regulated by the Elections Law.
But the public can expect numerous early vote count results based on sampling, as registered private polling and survey groups will deploy thousands of volunteers and staff to polling stations nationwide.
The early results, widely known as a “quick count,” are considered a reliable indicator of what the official count will show when all votes are tallied in about a month."
That doesn't sound like overnight.

I would rather they take their time to verify the mail in votes -- this is what causes the delay, not the machine counting. That's larger than the voting population of most states, so if France can do it why can't our states? Or locally why does St. Louis City, Kansas City and Springfield seem to always report last when they have less population than many other parts of the state? The only way that a delay can occur, and be trusted, is if NO results are reported to anyone until all votes are tabulated to the final counts. Votes go into a database the is not readable until all votes are injected and saved into that database. The number of people that have access to the database are limited and KNOWN so if a leak occurs you have only a few people to question. If there is leak the election starts over since the results can no longer be trusted. Then there has to be a paper trail, that's stored for a min of 2 years, that can be audited for future court cases and study. Mail in voting should be STOP for anything beyond extreme cases. Mail in votes are just asking for fraud since their ZERO ability to verify who made that vote, thus invalid votes can be easily injected.

Hmmm the research doesn't seem to playing out well Indonesia is spread over 17,000 islands. To think they could count overnight is just silly.
