He didn’t “lash out” when the crowd didn’t laugh. In fact, when they didn’t laugh, he commented something like, “well, that wasn’t a good joke”. Harris’ team is doing their best to make him look worse concerning this dinner, but deep down they have to know she was the major flop of the night. Maybe he should have thoroughly reviewed the material beforehand and stuck with the legitimate political zingers and discarded the offensive juvenile tripe. But frankly I don’t think Trump can discern the difference. It was a pitiful performance. maybe. But then again, its more probable that the jokes were written for him, and already approved by the hosts of the dinner.

He had no way of knowing which jokes would get a laugh and which ones did not. No comedian knows that. Even Jim Gaffigan, who hosted the event, had a joke or two fall flat and he reacted the same way as Trump did. “Thoroughly reviewing” the material wouldn’t have told him how the crowd was going to react. What did you think of the video Harris submitted? I don’t think Trump (or Harris) is particularly bright, but he should possess enough judgment to realize that some jokes are beyond the pale even for a “roast”. I only saw a snippet of the Harris video. It’s very possible it was inappropriate as well. I do believe she deserves criticism for not attending. Trump’s delivery, language and much of his material was simply atrocious, but that’s Trump. How do you know he didn’t review them and refuse to tell some of the jokes? We don’t know what was all given to him and what jokes he DIDN’T tell. And Harris’ video was only a couple of minutes. To say you only saw a “snippet” of it means you didn’t see much. Interesting how you seem to know how Trump should have handled everything, but the only thing you say about Harris and the dinner is that she should have been there. Go and watch her video. She used a comedienne portraying a Catholic school girl, a character routinely used by SNL to mock Catholics. And remember, Harris recorded that video, meaning she could do different takes over and over until it was appropriate…and the final video is what she decided was best.

Waa Waa Waa... Orange man bad, but Sidepiece is dumb as a box of rocks. You just insulted a box of rocks! My apologies to the proverbial box of rocks, but not to the current actual box of rocks. 😂

talk about poor taste and bad judgement, here is a nice little detail about Molly, who was with Sidepiece in her video.

I then want to see if he can admit that Harris “should possess enough judgment to realize that some jokes are beyond the pale”.

I watched the entirety of the Harris video and Trump’s remarks. Frankly the difference in tone and content was astonishing (well, not really). Sure, there were good natured barbs by both, but Harris effusively praised the Catholic Church and the good works of the Catholic charities while Trump gave a tepid nod to it. Harris closed by noting: “The Gospel of Luke tells us that faith has the power to shine a light on those living in darkness, and to guide our feet in the path of peace. And in honor of the great Al Smith, let us fight to build a better future with faith in God, our country and in each other.” Meanwhile, Trump punctuated his mean-spirited insults with profanity. The vagina grabber follows that up at a Pennsylvania rally with an ode to Arnold Palmer’s penis. How anyone can support that crass vulgarian for President of the United States is absolutely mind blowing. I think we can finally close the book on the Republican “character counts” slogan and consign it to the dustbin of history. I feel more comfortable every day with my decision to write in my choice on November 5. There is a reason so many high level officials from his previous administration claim Trump is unfit for the presidency.

So, Harris showed “good judgment” by having a person mock Catholics in her video? A comedienne who has openly criticized the Catholic Church? Was that good “content” for her to have in a video that she had all the time she needed to make sure it sounded right? Ending with a comment about what Luke says in his gospel, right after using someone to mock Catholics, looks bad and disingenuous. And Harris followed up HER comments by telling someone who shouted, “Jesus is Lord” at one of her rallies that he was “at the wrong rally”. What, are Christians not allowed at her rallies? editted to add: you ask how anyone can support that “crass vulgarian”. Well, we have witnessed a president have an extramarital affair IN THE OVAL OFFICE and lie about it. We have been basically told that we can ignore things like that as long as the person governs okay. Well, Trump has proven how he governs, and the way he governed was much better than the way Harris has.

Harris was confronted with a sudden barrage of incoherent heckling and responded with a light-hearted retort. I thought that little incident was extremely well-handled. Trump’s tactic is to yell “beat the hell out of ‘em”. Typical Trump bully boy, tough guy provocation. Please quote me the most anti-Catholic remark uttered by Harris in the video. For that matter, please quote the most anti-Catholic comment by Gallagher during that same video. Clinton falsely denied having what turned out to be consensual sexual activities initiated by Lewinsky, and was then ensnared by a carefully orchestrated perjury trap well after the “affair” had ended. That doesn’t excuse what he did and I certainly didn’t and don’t approve of it. He paid a heavy price for his indiscretions. Clinton isn’t on the ballot. Trump - a convicted felon, a crude narcissistic jerk whose election lies sparked an unprecedented insurrection (which he calls “a day of love”), who labels his American opponents “the enemy within” worse than our foreign adversaries, whose close associates warn is unfit for office - is.

The catholic church is one of the oldest and vilest groups in humanity's history. They exert control over large swaths of the world's populations within the confines a literal cannibal cult. Twisted depraved and leading mankind in blood magic rituals. They deserve all the mockery and scorn available.

The whole thing is painful to watch. Harris is running on the single worst platform in American presidential election history. And Trump is one of the worst human beings who has lived during my lifetime and now is showing clear signs of cognitive decline. It is hard to believe anyone supports either of these clowns. Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public.
