there are 2 responses to this, the 1 you'd like to get: "Please keep us informed on your search for a candidate you can write in that satisfies your self imposed purity tests, the rest of us lesser beings can learn so much from you" and the response you will get: "No one fucking cares who you're going to write in you self righteous pompous ass" This is clearly a well-received and highly relevant thread given the number of times it has been visited. Of course, the risk of a well-read and well-received thread is that it also invites and exposes those who are not capable of, or interested in, productive dialogue. There are tens of millions of American voters who are not satisfied with the choice between Trump and Harris (Biden). It is well worth the conversation to learn why. This conversation is our only hope as a nation in pursuing a healthier political process. Tedious and non-productive personal invective is, while far too common, never helpful - and is something I choose to avoid. I invite you to participate in a higher level of conversation. I have only been visiting this thread to see if you have been able to come up with links to prove that Trump “coerced and forced” people to not attend school council meetings. Have you been able to find them yet? If you want people to participate in a higher level of conversation, then you need to do more on your part than just say, “this happened, it is factual and you know it.” You have yet to provide any actual links to back up any of your claims.

I am currently evaluating various governors as a potential write in vote. Probably my best option. IOWs a vote for the Democrats. You do you.

Only if he is normally a reliable voter for Republican POTUS nominees. As it is, it’s just one less vote for Trump, which, if it’s not a battleground state, makes no difference other than signaling a distaste for both candidates. In my case, I generally vote Democratic for President (and about 2/3 Democratic and 1/3 Republican down ballot.) Living in a tossup state, my intention to write in would clearly inure to Trump’s benefit.

My ratio is probably about the reverse of yours. My intention is the same as yours. Write-in is pretty much my only option. I suppose I could complete the rest of my ballot and leave just that one decision blank. What message would it send if several million voters did the same?
